Acne
Acne, perhaps the most common skin condition, can affect people of all ages and races. The microcomedone or microscopic blackhead is the origination of all acne lesions. Successfully acne treatment will marry appropriate skincare with therapeutic options. Not only are there numerous effective topical therapies, oral medications, chemical peels and Isolaz can be used.
Botox
Botox is patented protein molecule that is injected into an overactive muscle to release the muscle and thus cause relaxation of the overlying skin. The initial treatment will relax the muscle for approximately 3 months. The length of relaxation tends to lengthen with repeated treatments. Botox has been safely used in the U.S. and Canada for over 22 years. In fact Botox is the number one cosmetic treatment amongst physicians.

Chemical Peels
Chemical peels have been used throughout the centuries to rejuvenate skin.
When Cleopatra applied milk soaked linen wraps to her face, she was in essence giving herself a chemical peel. The process behind a chemical peel is applying a chemical (usually a mild acid) to the skin for a short amount of time. The chemical will "peel" or cause the top layers of skin to flake and stimulate the deeper layers to lay down more collagen. By taking off the top layers a brighter softer complexion is seen and with the making of collagen deeper, fine lines and wrinkles are filled.
Isolaz
Isolaz is an Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) device, FDA approved for the treatment of acne. There are 2 components of the treatment. Firstly, the pneumatic component "vacuums" out the pores of oil and debris, the intense pulsed light then shrinks oil glands, pore size and kills bacteria. All this leads to a rapid improvement of acne and improvement of texture.
